The teen years can be some of the most fun yet most confusing. Just when you're happy that adolescence has kicked in and you're getting a measure of independence, hormones kick in, friendships become awkward, faith “loses” its wonder because you're done coloring pictures of Jesus and being fascinated by the story of Jonah or Zacheus.

At this point you're probably looking to build solid friendships by doing life together with believers your age, speak without the fear of being shut down, ask questions without judgement, and engage with brilliant minds about interesting things.

I get it. I've been there.

Are you a parent or teen teacher/guide, feeling alone in your struggle to raise your teens or feeling frustrated with interpreting your teens’ emotions? Does coming up with content that helps build them up scare or confuse you?

I get it. I've been there too.

This is David's Army - a place where teenagers can learn more about God's design for their lives, and a place where the adults who love & teach them can access resources that help in raising sound, godly young adults.

    To raise giant slayers who are on fire for God in every area of their lives. A giant killer takes on challenges bigger than themselves and lives victorious because of their relationship with God.

    Five purposes, on purpose

    We deliberately pursue the five purposes of a healthy church: worship, ministry, evangelism, fellowship, and discipleship (Matt 22:35-40, Mark 12:28-34, Matt 28:18-20) through our meetings and activities.

Volunteers, Colonels, Generals

The Adults

Adults serve teens as Volunteers for an initial season of about three months, then commit fully and are appointed Colonel. The highest leadership level is General, and all adult volunteers in David's Army are affectionately known as Generals. They teach, mentor, coordinate service Sundays, and walk with teens through every season.

Words You'll Hear on a Sunday

On Point
The responsibility assigned to a General to monitor and coordinate the flow of service on a designated Sunday.
BOS (Breakout Session)
A smaller-group teaching session designed to encourage interaction and participation among the teens, grouped by platoon or selected randomly by number.
Charge
A short wrap-up that typically follows a BOS, summarising and reinforcing what was taught during the breakout sessions.
